Midgard is a heavily modded server with increased difficulty settings, designed for co-op playing, and offering all of the content and potential of Valheim.
Progress trough the ages at your own pace. Trade your way trough the game and make new friends along the way, afterall

INCREASED DIFFICULTY AND THE RNG
Fight original bosses with new tricks, and their different variants. Even the very first one is kicking ass if you are not prepared.
World is NOT scaling by number of online players, so there is actual benefit to group up or create a guild with other people.
Face harder foes with random abilities, resistances, looks in changing environments.
Defend your base against RAIDS that are decided by player progression and not by overall server progression.
Almost everything you encounter is decided in RNG style.
RNG item and gear loot.
New RNG dungeons at Nidavellir (black forest) biome
CUSTOMIZED MAP AND BIOMES
Much larger and unique continental (not a clustered vanilla) style map.
All biomes are customized and populated including vanilla's Deep North.
New textures, clutter, vegetation etc.
RESOURCES
Level up Farming skill and grow your own Mushrooms, Berries, Herbs and Crops, and use gathering skills like Foraging to get maximum yield.
All resources are growing back and respawning in world the of Midgard, including ores and trees.
CRAFTING, SALVAGING and REPAIRING
Level up your crafting skill and some item stats with it.
Salvage some materials back by just hitting DEL when dragging items.
Repair your items at the buildable repair station.
IMPROVED COMBAT
Hit to any angle in combat gives more control over character when melee fighting.
Overhauled melee weapon mechanics like flanking, chain attacks and so on...
Overhauled sneaking skill. Hiding and moving in shadows becomes working playstyle, ambushing supporting it even more.
Bow and arrow mechanics overhaul, more realistic physics to particles, bows with different bow times and range and much more.
Dual wielding.
Hotkeys for dodging.
New weapon skills.
NON PLAYER CHARACTERS
NPC characters with their own inventory of weapons, armors and utilities, and you can decide what friendly characters equip and carry.
Your NPC friends can do resource collecting for you.
Friendly NPC's can repair your buildings after raids or natural disasters.
THE SEA
Reworked sailing with skills effecting to ship stats and exploration radius.
Map is designed so, you need ships to explore it, since its continental and not vanilla clustered mess, where you can almost jump from island to island.
Sailing is not walk in the park, all kinds of dangers like, sudden weather change or lurking monster, and the fact you can repair ships only at harbor, makes it much more interesting.
At night, the sea is full of mysteries and horrors. It is then, when the sea is showing its true nature.
Sea is alive, meet all kinds of new life beneath.

THE EXTRA CONTENT OF MIDGARD
Overall, Hundreds of new weapons, armors and items.
Use and craft spells, staves, sets, scrolls from very beginning of the game.
Wield the magic and be a healing or destroying force.
A wide variety of skills to level. Twice as many as vanilla.
Over 20 ships with their unique stats like speed, agility, hitpoints, cargo space and such, also ships are divided to different classes like boats, exploration ships, cargoships and warships.
New dungeon types for all biomes.
Regenerating and increased size dungeons.
Return to Burial Chambers, Sunken Crypts and Frost Caves for extra materials.
Dozens of new monsters, endless amount of variety of them.
Take the challenge of day+environment+weather+season+event cycle(DEWSEC). That combo will truly satisfy your survivor apetite.
New bosses and improved vanilla ones. Totally new bosses for all biomes and improved vanilla bosses with new abilities and tricks.
Over 400 of new build pieces.
New SFX. Adding more of them or replacing annoying or dull ones.
New music and ten times more of it.
Use HD Texture pack to make immersion complete.
MIDGARD TEXTURE TOOLS, AND POST PROCESSING + SHADERS
Midgard own GFX mod, which is changing texture filter to trilinear from point, and enhancing it with TLA.
There is fixes and adjustments for example to bloom flickering, colors, DoF, motion blur and much more.
Shaders are switched to more realistic ones and latest at this point, pixelation is no more.
PERFORMANCE and OPTIMIZATION
Even there is much more mods now, client load and login times are reduced from previous 25~ min to 5~ min. Thanks to Midgard own SpeedItUpPicard mod.
Valheim.exe process is always running at HIGH Priority.
Midgard Networking mod is:
-Raising max players to 64
-Increasing send and receive data transfer buffers
-Increasing Timeout from 30 seconds to 300s (5minutes)
SECURITY
Midgard Mod Enforcing System will check player haven't added, deleted or modified any mod in the modpack, if player pass the check, server let player login in the game.
Anti-Cheat is actively checking certain things on online players, some check fails causing kick, and some ban.
Server itself running against all odds, Windows Server 2022 Datacenter
